    Founding Partner

    The word charisma may be over-used when talking about leaders, but not in Braden’s case. Since founding CREW in 2007, he’s been a visionary, mentor, strategist, rainmaker and relentlessly positive cheerleader for our rapidly growing company. From an internship at Procter & Gamble to a successful career at Frito-Lay, Braden’s marketing strategies have consistently delivered increased sales and growth. When he’s not inspiring his CREW at work or winding up his two children into a frenzy at home, he’s motivating business leaders at international conferences. We’re not sure he sleeps.

  • John Kirincic

    Chief Operating Officer

    With his CPA, CGA and BBA designations, we figured it was only appropriate John be made responsible for everything to do with money. And then because he didn’t put up a fuss, we put him in charge of the day-to-day operations of our growing multiverse. Hey, he’s a financial wizard, a corporate crusader and has a really, really great poker face. All ideal qualities when dealing with revenue projections, high growth management and planning, and rousing games of Exploding Kittens. John believes his time here will be well spent as he quietly finalizes his plans for world domination. So take him to lunch. Soon.

  • Gerald Schoenhoff

    Chief Creative Officer

    Before he joined CREW Gerald sold cars. Lots and lots of them. All across Canada. For KIA. As Executive Creative Director at Innocean, he helped launch and lead the Korean-based agency and for seven years built it into a creative powerhouse. He’s been in top creative slots at Grey, Taxi, Cossette and is now looking forward to building CREW from his global headquarters in Oakville. When not road cycling the Niagara escarpment, flipping fish on the barbeque or rewiring his home to get free cable, Gerald is busy challenging and changing CREW into a creative force to be reckoned with. It’s why we love Schoenhoff. (OK, cheap pun.)

  • Steffen Janzen

    Director of Marketing Services, Surrey

    Steffen is that rare and unusual animal – an agency person who has experience as both a suit and a creative. With almost a decade of experience in the ad agency world, Steffen has worn the hats of strategist, planner, producer, manager and writer. All with a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone involved. When he’s not galvanizing teams to help our clients win, he’s fending off offers from the United Nations, who value his diplomacy and tact. Like we don’t? We do.

  • Nate Douglas

    Director of Marketing Services, Oakville

    Nate comes to CREW after a decade of working with McCain and Parmalat. Professionally, he knows a lot about core portfolio renovations, campaign development and P&L improvements. Oh, and french fries. Nate has found success creating brand foundations, deeply understanding the products and audiences, inspiring teams, and a host of other activities involving complicated spreadsheets. When not spending time with his wife and kids, he also runs competitively, having completed a half ironman. Which makes him, what, aluminum?

    Before signing on with CREW in 2014, Josh put his Psych degree to work inspiring teams to create award-winning experiential marketing campaigns for Microsoft, Rogers, Motorola and Petro Canada. So of course we sent him to Kelowna. Josh is the Columbus of CREW, exploring new markets and bringing our unique entrepreneurial approach to BC’s interior markets. Josh is all about people. He loves meeting potential partner clients and showing them how smart marketing can help their business grow. Preferably while playing golf.

  • Kelly Hertzog

    Senior Marketing Manager

    With 20 years in marketing and project management, as well as degrees in Marketing Communications and Psychology, Kelly is well suited to analyzing a client’s needs. Literally. She had us all figured out in about 20 minutes, diagnosing our writers with CAD (caffeine-induced anxiety disorder). Her past experience includes creating and executing marketing plans, communications strategies and multimedia campaigns for both small and medium-sized companies as well as a Fortune 500 Healthcare Company. We at CREW are 100% delighted to have her on the team.

  • Paul Lucrezi

    Senior Marketing Manager

    Paul brings 15 years of sales, marketing and brand management experience to CREW. Before joining us he completed a lengthy term with the Vancouver Giants Hockey Club. Which means he’s really good in the corners and knows how to call a game-winning play. Paul currently leads his CREW marketing team, overseeing strategic direction for a large roster of clients, most notably Tiger Tool and Crown Verity. Originally from Trail, BC, Paul lives in the Lower Mainland with his wife and two young boys. He’s never met a pizza he didn’t like.

  • Ray Ho

    Senior Marketing Manager

    Ray comes to CREW with an international marketing perspective (15 years’ worth) as well as an insatiable palate (eats anything, anywhere). The international part? Ray hails from Singapore, where he went to school, served in the military and worked at ad agencies for clients like Philips and Nokia. After graduating from UBC, he worked here in the food and franchising industry for eight years. Ray is currently finishing off his MBA (from Australia; don’t ask). A wanderer at heart, he’s visited six continents. Antarctica is next with possible funding from a big win on his Jeopardy app. Trivia Geeks for 400, Alex.

  • Stephanie Thatcher

    Senior Marketing Manager

    From artisan pizza (ZAW) to aircraft (Boeing), universities (UBC Okanagan) to underwear (Under Armour, Diane’s Lingerie), Stephanie brings nearly two decades of client management and brand development experience to CREW. She’s managed CPG lines for Frito-Lay, 3M and SC Johnson. Heck, she’s even worked with a zoo. A dual citizen of Canada and the States, Stephanie is currently using Kelowna as her global headquarters as she pursues the Okanagan’s great cycling, wine and fresh food (not necessarily in that order). Next on her wish list? Discovering a great locally-made RSC (Really Stinky Cheese).

  • Ric Riordon

    Director of Client Services, Oakville

    Ric is our idea of a Renaissance man. He is our creative paterfamilias, Machiavellian business strategist and emollient client relationship specialist. (We used big words because he has an Honours degree in English and Fine Arts.) He is also a master gardener, passionate architect/interior designer and explorer of seafood. In short, a contemporary Leonardo without the beard (thank you) sporting an incredibly tasteful selection of eyewear. Ric’s gentle enthusiasm, assured leadership and warm encouragement bring out absolutely the best in us and our clients.

  • Jessica McCullough

    Marketing Manager

    Jessica understands the concept of teamwork, having thrashed her way to several CIS University hockey championship finals. This hard-charging experience is quite beneficial to Josh in Kelowna, although he often has to ask her to leave her helmet off when meeting clients. Jessica thrives on the day-to-day challenges of a start-up office because it allows her to expand her skill sets and learn skills that go beyond the scope of her BBA. Like planning digital campaigns and optimizing stapler selection.

  • Liz Hodge

    Marketing Manager

    Whether it’s doing eagle counts in Squamish or helping the dairy industry milk every marketing dollar, Liz is passionate about the environment, agriculture and marketing. And sushi. Something she comes by honestly with her degree in Marine Biology as well as sleeping with the fishes. Seriously. While working at the Vancouver Aquarium she managed school programs and sleepovers putting her marine biology skills to work. Her MBA in Executive Leadership from Royal Roads didn’t completely prepare her for the school kids but amply arms her for working at CREW.

  • Rachel Latkolik

    Marketing Manager

    A multi-talented miracle worker, Rachel began her CREW life as a senior designer before transitioning to client management. Rachel now cheerfully manages clients’ projects while tactfully apprising co-workers of wardrobe malfunctions and grooming gaffs. All in addition to running a busy family household. Needless to say, while being a stickler for detail, Rachel’s also able to keep the big picture in focus; a rare and valuable trait we cherish. Even when she’s telling us we have spinach in our teeth.

  • Spiro Khouri

    Marketing Manager

    Spiro! Great name, right? Great guy, too and a wonderful fit for CREW. Spiro! has awesome personal skills, like building and upgrading computers, coaching minor hockey, crushing it at dodgeball as well as a Level 10 gaming guru. Literally. He’s worked for Electronic Arts, Hard Rock and Elements Casinos and was an odds-on favourite at Hastings Racecourse. His passion for discipline, accuracy and attention to detail serve our clients well. He has so many layers. Like an onion. Which he knows how to peel and use effectively to make pizza because his family owned pizzerias for over two decades. Spiro!

  • Jay Lundgren

    Business Development Manager

    Jay brings a rather amazing skill set to our company. As you might expect, he has a BBA and understands how to get to the heart of a business. But he’s also ordained in BC, so he understands matters of the heart, too. Yes, Jay can marry people. Really. And he can even do it in a Don Cherry voice. Jay can also provide play-by-play for both Canucks and Seahawks games. Is there no end to this man’s unplumbed talents? We hope not. To us, he’s a rock star. Did we mention he was one of those, too? Yes, he sings. Don't believe us? Just ask him to do "Happy Birthday" - any key.

  • Giuseppe Simpatico

    Director of Digital Platforms

    With 13 years (so far) under his digital workbelt, Giuseppe has done everything from programming and design to project and account management. His clients have included Alliance Films Canada, UBC Okanagan, Predator Ridge and BigSteelBox. Giuseppe applies his degrees in (1) Fine Arts and (2) Visual Interactive Developments and Design (whew) to inspire and push his team to create appealing, immersive online experiences. When he’s not pixelating his team’s productivity, Giuseppe finds time to pursue digital portraiture, hang with his family and count his grey hairs.

  • Dennis Gabelhouse

    Business Development

    Dennis has been part of the Kelowna CREW team since our office opened in 2014, bringing his passion to help businesses succeed. His role as an éminence grise (google it, people) has been integral to helping the office find its footing and grow its clientele steadily. That’s because with his decades of business experience, all his personal and volunteer connections too, Dennis knows most everyone in the Okanagan. Literally. Your uncle in Summerland? Knows him. That second cousin in the Mission? Knows her, too.

  • Brad Marshall

    Director of Digital Strategy

    From scrappy start-ups to internationally respected brands, Brad has spent the last decade helping clients solve business problems and overcome digital dilemmas through strategic thinking and flawless creative execution. And shorter sentences. His brand and user experience approach for clients like Lululemon, Swisscom and The JUNO Awards has earned him a reputation for intelligent creativity. His writing has been published in a variety of magazines and newspapers as well as a couple of blogs that are kind of a big deal on the internet.

  • Daniel Ryu

    Design Director

    A graduate of Capilano University’s IDEA program, Dan joined CREW in 2010 and has been the rocksteady mainstay of the design department. He’s designed everything from corporate logos to websites for clients and gracefully keeps everyone on track. Dan is a firm believer that without first identifying the problem, any marketing or creative solution would fail to produce real results. Whether he’s making double plays at second base or presenting new ideas, Dan always makes it look effortless.

  • Ricky Bandelin

    Director of Web & Digital

    SEO optimization, marketing automation, PPC, predictive forecasting – Ricky knows all this stuff inside out. Which is great because nobody here knows what he’s talking about half the time. He enjoys tough challenges and pursuing the best solution to a problem. Ricky’s professional background includes an array of customer-focused disciplines including brand re-positioning, strategic planning and product development. And tea. He’s steeped in his family’s tea business and knows his lapsang from his oolong.

  • Travis Robb

    CREW Studios Director

    He’s captured iconic images on film for Red Bull and Subaru, directed commercials for Jessica Alba’s Honest Company, written and directed TV series for Outside Television and FOX Fuel Network. Needless to say, Travis’s film skill sets are complete. And considerable. He writes, he produces, he shoots, he directs, he cuts, he makes julienne fries. If it has anything to do with the craft of filmmaking Travis has mastered it in his over twenty years in the industry. His latest production? A new baby son. Cue the music.

  • Abe Friesen

    Web Development Manager

    And you thought web development was all about headphone-clad coders quietly key punching to the sounds of their favourite obscure electronica band. Sure, there’s that. But then there’s someone like Abe who gets everyone on the same page. And keeps them there. Project management, quoting, scope definition, developer wrangling, information flow and quality control – these are just a few of the skill sets Abe brings to the table. Oh, and a somewhat baffling passion for smoking meats. (Cured, not inhaled.)

  • Alan Krpan

    Creative Director, Oakville

    Alan brings an incredible level of flexibility (mental and otherwise) to his role. From strategy and research to client, designer and project management, from conceptual brainstorming to final copywriting and client presentation, Alan’s pretty much a complete package. All wrapped in denim with signature gelled hair. When not inspiring his creative compatriots, he can be found at the ball hockey rink or on the soccer pitch as a goalie. We hear he’s also trying out for the Oakville dart team. As a goalie. Good luck with that, dude.

  • Bryan McAllister

    Senior Designer

    Pixel Pusher and Problem Solver was Bryan’s preferred choice of job description but we felt that lacked the gravitas required for a graduate of the Conestoga College of Graphic Design & Marketing in Ontario. Bringing industry experience from Toronto and local agencies, we immediately snapped him up when he rolled into town. Bryan’s amazing skill sets aren’t limited to design, either. Snowboarding, basketball, soccer, illustration, photography… and cheese connoisseur. Any way you slice it, Bryan’s a big cheese wheel at CREW.

  • Carissa Greenlees

    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Carissa took time away from exploring volcanoes and competitive showjumping to join CREW in 2015. She credits her years working with 1,200 pound animals for giving her the grace, patience and time management skills to work here. That, and she’s used to cleaning up after horses. Carissa’s digital acumen and hyper-efficiency help buff up our clients’ SEO and boost clickthrough rates. She also applies her wicked skills to the Dark Art of Marketing Automation (sentient online ads – scary stuff).

  • Caroline Holman

    Currently on Maternity Leave

    Brandishing a BBA with a Minor in Pysch, Caroline is magnificently prepared to diplomatically and persuasively manage client projects. And clients. She spent seven years Trade Marketing for the world’s largest wine company, so we’re leaning on her heavily… and not because we’ve sampled too much shiraz at lunch. Aside from her encyclopedic knowledge of global vintages, (she’s a WSET Level 2 oenophile) Caroline is exceptionally pet-friendly (her husband owns a doggy daycare) and as a mother of a young daughter can occasionally be overheard warbling the chorus of “Let It Go.” Nothing we love more than a singalong.

  • Cliff Borromeo

    Senior Production Designer

    When he’s not putting his over two decades of print production, colour management and photoshopping skills to work at CREW, Cliff can be found: coaching his son’s football team, coaching his daughter’s volleyball team, competing in the Tough Mudder, running a marathon or photographing at various sporting events. We strongly suspect he comes to work for a much needed break. Cliff’s rocksteady focus and supreme technical competence give our designers the confidence to push the creative envelope.

  • Daniel Alfred

    Marketing Coordinator

    Originally from London, England, Daniel brings his hyper-organized skill sets (and an Honours BBA in Marketing Management) to CREW. His positive outlook, attention to detail, spiffy fashion sense and dead sexy 1974 MGB Roadster make him an ideal candidate for, well, being cool. What’s really cool is while still at school he and his twin sister co-founded Silver Surfers, a non-profit that teaches isolated seniors how to use smart technology to connect with loved ones. He also volunteers with several non-profits and plays a mean drum kit on the worship team at church.

  • Debra Clarke

    Writer

    West Coast proud, prairie tough. That’s how Deb describes herself. We don’t know what it means, but it sure sounds impressive. What’s more impressive is how Deb has switched hats within CREW, moving from the Marketing side over to Creative. (Better snacks.) These days her mad multi-tasking skills are put to the test crafting copy while Cooper, her chipper little fur-friend, cadges doggie treats from designers. Deb’s biggest adjustment since moving? No room for her massive Minion collection.

  • Dori Kufflick

    Production Manager

    This is not Dori’s first rodeo. Or her second. In fact, her agency and design/production workflow expertise is a thing of legend. We understand some guy named Gutenberg had her proof and coordinate his first big book run. Seriously, Dori’s unflappable calm, cheery demeanor and quiet confidence instill stability and serenity to all our designers. Unless they’re over caffeinated, then everybody watch out. When not binge-watching BBC period dramas, Dori can be found volunteering at the Highland Games every year. Yep, something about men in kilts.

  • Erin Little

    Production Manager

    For over seventeen years Erin has been keeping the Oakville office on track and in line, overseeing day-to-day details as well as filling in the blanks on all kinds of projects – everything from research and quoting to proposal writing and proofreading. With so much experience, Erin certainly knows where the office skeletons are hidden. All of them. Which is why everyone obeys her without question. Sort of. Erin is constantly evolving and developing skill sets. Like baking the perfect banana bread. And establishing a solid rationale for including gummy worms and chocolate in the same food group. If anyone can, it’s Erin.

  • Ian Bray

    Writer

    After working on accounts like ESSO, McDonald’s, Safeway, Sun-Rype, SUBWAY, TELUS and KAL Tire, Ian decided to get back to his writing roots at CREW. He brings decades of experience on everything from branding to commercial production, not to mention an almost arcane knowledge of contemporary music. When he’s not crafting campaigns or authoring articles, Ian is enjoying a break from volunteering on his kids’ activities to sit back and watch them be awesome. He also enjoys writing about himself in the third person.

  • Ian Hoyte

    Developer

    Behind Ian’s quiet, helpful demeanor lies the screaming soul of a heavy metal frontman. Really. Today Ian prefers thrashing technical problems, wrestling with website rendering challenges and tattooing codebases with his own unique signature. He also has mad barbequing skills, as impressive as a KISS flamethrower, but without setting off any fire alarms. He also enjoys volunteering with a group supporting local art initiatives and still plays guitar for friends. But don’t request Kumbaya. Please. Don’t.

  • Justin Sherwin

    Art Director

    One of the reasons Justin was an instant fit for CREW was he played with us before. Back in the very first days before CREW was CREW, Justin worked on Dutch and many other accounts. And now he’s back, bringing his incredible skills sets and mellow vibe, counterbalanced by a whiff of rock and roll brimstone. That’s because when he’s not applying his brain to creating effective design and advertising concepts, his fingers are shredding his guitar in a cover band. Look at his picture. No Justin Bieber on the set list. Ever.

  • Kamal Chahal

    Accountant

    Her job description may say simply Accountant, but Kamal's qualifications are high level indeed - a Bachelor of Science and then a CGA level 4 designation. So essentially, she can drill down expense reports to the sub atomic level. (Quite possibly the reason why Braden hasn't been able to write off his neon rainbow socks as a legitimate business expense.) Oh, she also reports she has a Phd in motherhood despite the fact she can't cook. Kamal prefers Greek food, Seinfeld reruns, opening offshore bank accounts and soap operas, not necessarily in that order.

  • Kimberly Elkington

    Currently on Maternity Leave

    Although a West Coaster since 2010, Kim remains a Prairie girl at heart. (Except for the snow. No snow.) Before joining CREW she developed her craft at a few Regina design studios and brings her award-winning expertise to package design and logo creation. Kim has an incredible focus which allows her to intuitively understand the visual essence of a brand and express its unique identity. When not creating stunning graphics and inspired concepts, Kim can be found spoiling her favourite furbaby, Ella.

  • Linda DeRuiter

    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Combining her expertise in Information Technology (she’s a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) with eight years of teaching, Linda is able to clearly articulate her social media plans, online marketing campaigns and SEO strategies. Then come up with a plan to make it all work with traditional advertising. This insightful blend of algorithmic alchemy and digital legerdemain have helped elevate our clients’ online marketing results to new heights. And she has the Google analytics to prove it. Pay attention to her; there will be a test later.

  • Lynn Fingarson

    Designer

    After graduating from Kwantlen’s GDMA program, Lynn immediately sank her teeth into a variety of juicy creative challenges. After honing her design chops on everything from vegan meats to technical fabrics, Lynn joined us in 2017. Diving head first into several meaty projects, she demonstrated her excellent taste in both design and packaging. Although nothing tops the ‘wearable architecture’ outfit she made at school shaped like the Sydney Opera House. Lynn’s quick sense of humour and enthusiasm have made her a welcome addition. Can’t wait to see her Vancouver Convention Centre Five Sails getup.

  • Matt Bandstra

    Designer

    Although his job title says Designer, Matt’s analytical mind is always strategizing, reconsidering and restructuring what’s in front of him. His thoughtful work has been recognized by RGD’s Social Good Design Awards and HOW Magazine. When he’s not deciding on the best possible creative solution for clients, he’s buried in a book (either writing one or reading at least two), scrolling through Instagram or unashamedly jamming to Carly Rae Jepsen. And sometimes simultaneously. Did we mention he’s awesome at multitasking?

  • Pearce Donnelly

    Marketing Coordinator

    With an educational background combining a BFA in Creative Writing with Marketing Management from BCIT, Pearce uniquely embodies the yin and yang of marketing; grounded logic mindmelding with creative spark. Man, it’s a wonder the guy doesn’t short circuit. Pearce loves digging deep and unearthing key insights to help inspire the creative process, which he has done for clients such as PC Urban, Encorp and the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC. When not crafting quietly erudite creative briefs, he can be found training for a spot on the Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour. Sponsorship packages available.

  • Rose Atkinson

    Office Manager

    Aside from her varied duties keeping the CREW quarters shipshape and everyone on track, Rose adds the titles CFO (Chief Food Officer) and BDW (Braden Douglas Wrangler) to her growing roster of responsibilities. Keeping Braden’s demanding schedule under control is certainly a challenge, but it’s one Rose rises to easily. Especially when she’s wearing her rather stylish footwear (which she seems to have an endless supply of). We wonder if she dons Vera Wang to go geo-caching with her grandkids.

  • Shirley Riordon

    Director of Art & Design, Oakville

    Her title says Director of Art & Design, but Shirley's skill sets reach far beyond pure design (which she loves). Her elegant tendrils extend into copywriting, mentoring, client management, vendor liaison, judging creative for Applied Arts and the Canadian Regional Design Awards as well as advising the next generation of creative designers at Humber College. She'll also teach you figure skating if you ask her nicely. Outside CREW her passion is dressage (think fancy Lipizzaner stallions) and discovering new words. When not making argute design choices or otherwise demonstrating her exquisite concinnity, Shirley can be found trolling LogoLounge and ensuring Ric's socks match.

  • Steven Rehberg

    Marketing Coordinator

    The immaculately groomed Steve has been slowly and carefully revealing his hidden depths to us – like his incredible retention of NHL player statistics and passion for goaltending. He majored in Business Administration with a stint at the University of Economics in Prague as well as mentoring business writers at the Beedie School of Business at SFU. A traveler at heart, Steve has made himself right at home at CREW with his easygoing personality and his rigorous attention to detail. He also speaks conversational German and hosts sponsors and promotional guests at Canucks games (his real job).

  • Sujina Unger

    Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

    On her way to medical school, clutching her BA in Professional Writing and BBA in Management, Leadership, Sujina was bewitched by business and lured into the world of marketing and business strategy. Which, by golly, is exactly what she does for CREW. From pulling together complex new business proposals to buffing up the brand on social media, sunny Sujina crosses many departmental boundaries without ever stepping on any managerial toes. Except Braden’s (actually it’s more like nailing his boat shoes to the floor) in order to keep him focused and on track. She’s also an accomplished portraitist, cyclist and plays requests on cowbell. Really.

  • Zeynep Kucukerol

    Marketing Coordinator

    CREW’s version of Turkish Delight, Zeynep hails from Turkey, (had to get that joke out of the way early) where she earned a BSc in Industrial Engineering. Then she earned a Master’s in Management at UBC’s Sauder School with side trips to the University of Mannheim, UCLA and several years real world experience in CPG. Does she like travel? 78 cities in 24 countries. Does she like movie trivia? Does she play awesome classical piano? Has she been a snowboarder since the age of 4? Can she bake a perfect Viennese Whirl? Is she a multi-tasking multi-national mind-bending marvel? Why, yes.
